Otto Düring is a German philanthropist and Carrie's former boss. He was portrayed by German actor Sebastian Koch.
Otto is a billionaire philanthropist who uses the money his family made through affiliation with the Nazis to help struggling people around the world, including in volatile regions of the Middle East. He runs his own foundation in Berlin of which Jonas Hollander, Laura Sutton and Carrie Mathison. The latter saves him after an attempt is made on his life and he eventually proposes to her after offering her joint partnership of the foundation. However, she does not give him an answer.
In the Season 6 premiere it is revealed that she rejected his proposal and moved back to New York. He showed up at her workplace and revealed he had begun seeing someone else. He also gave her a present to give to Frannie.
