Biography[]

Season 1[]

Mira Berenson is Saul's wife, but the Indian woman doesn't really like the marriage. Saul's work means they have far too little time for each other. Even when she returns from a month-long visit from her parents in India, Saul still receives a phone call at the airport. Mira is understanding and accepts Saul's apologies. But the disappointment remains. But when they later have a short time to talk about the situation, Mira reveals that she thought a lot on the trip and now thinks it's the right thing to do for her own goals. She no longer sees a future together with Saul because he cannot offer her any consistency. Her wish now is to take over her parents' development project and thus stand on her own two feet. She also doesn't want Saul to be transferred. They are just too different and don't fit together. She also dismisses Saul's further objections and outright supplication. Your decision is made. She leaves in tears and from then on works as head of the Red Cross in New Delhi.

Season 2[]

When Mira hears about the attack in Langley, she immediately tries to reach Saul and is overjoyed that he was not there at the time of the attack. When she also learns that Carrie is missing and that she may be dead, she immediately offers to come back and be there for Saul. He accepts the offer without hesitation.

Season 3[]

In the two months after the attack, Mira is very caring and only there for Saul. She listens to all his problems from work and tries to give him advice. However, she is also frustrated that she and Saul don't talk about their relationship. So she still sleeps in another room and has the impression that things are not going well. Since Saul hopes that everything will work itself out, she accuses him of only being inhibited by indecisiveness and that this is also a problem in his work.

Although there is little progress in her relationship with Saul, she is always friendly and available to Saul 24 hours a day. But since she is also suffering greatly from the platonic relationship, she invites her former lover Alan Bernard to her place. This upsets Saul greatly, but he still avoids a proper conversation. Mira finally forces him to do so and explains that she doesn't want to cut Alan out of her life because he makes her laugh and life with him is nicer. But she avoids the question of whether she loves him. As a result, she spends a lot of time with Alan and sleeps with him on and off. When Saul has a great sense of achievement at work, he finally feels good enough to reach out to Mira emotionally and show how much he desires his wife. Mira immediately decides for her husband and wants to give the marriage another chance, which she immediately tells Alan. But he is not at all enthusiastic, protests his love and wants to fight for her, but Mira doesn't want to allow it at all. The fact that Saul disappears for a few days immediately afterwards doesn't make Mira particularly happy and makes her slightly doubtful again, but she hopes that it will only be a problem as long as Saul runs the CIA. So she should be right about that. When the operation is over and Saul stops working altogether, the whole situation relaxes and Mira and Saul relax together on vacation, the end of which is not in sight. They enjoy the time together without pressure.

Season 4[]

Mira hopes to finally get the support from Saul that she has been giving him for so long, but she is soon disappointed again. Not only does Saul not want to buy an apartment together in New York because he wants to remain flexible, he also cannot make it to dinner with Mira, her boss and his wife because of his work. So Mira senses that Saul's promise to put her needs first may be broken sooner than she thought. She doesn't even try to stop Saul anymore because she's learned over the years that it doesn't make any sense anyway.

When she learns from US Ambassador Martha Boyd that Saul has been captured by Haissam Haqqani, she calls Carrie and begs her to save Saul's life. Accordingly, she is happy when she can hug Saul again a few days later. However, she continues to be more than aware that she will always have to personally back down Saul's zeal.

Season 6[]

However, after Saul rejoins the CIA, Mira files for divorce. They meet again in New York, as Saul prepares to go into hiding; their conversation causes Saul to reconsider.
